I can't say enough about diet changes

Grandma_J, I’ve tried several different statins for my cholesterol and they all cause deep muscle aches mostly in my legs. My husband’s cardiologist had him take the lowest dose of statin starting only 3 days a week for a month and then for the next month he increased his dose to 5 days a week and then by month 3 he could tolerate 7 days a week. It may be something to ask your provider about.

Grandma and aberry, my GP recommended trying CoQ10 for the muscle pain side effects. Have you ever heard of this?
I started with Crestor, and I got a side effect, which, if you know me, is very rare – I went through all the DMARds, those nasties, with no SEs at all. And you know what Crestor gave me? Insomnia. LOL … go figure. Even the pharmacist had never heard of that. I’m now of Lipitor, and no problems.
